I am a native Long Beach resident that has been with the AIMS Academy since 2011. I enjoy teaching students to become empowered by utilizing their growth mindset and work to bridging the gap between students and the environment they live in. I hold a B.A. in Adolescent Social Behavior from the University of Washington, Seattle and a M.S. in Health Administration. I also have the pleasure of being the Lead Teacher for the AIMS Academy. In my spare time I like to hike, walk, paddle board, and enjoy the company of my family and friends.

English 3-4, ERWC
I joined AIMS in 2015 as a new teacher, who had previously subbed in the program. I chose to teach English because I enjoy working with high school students and challenging them to think and discuss complex questions and then write about them in a clear and connected way. Working in AIMS allows me to apply this passion in a classroom of students interested in medical professions. Prior to teaching, I attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and received a Bachelor’s of Art in Rhetoric and Media Studies and a Master’s in Business Administration. Outside of school, I enjoy sports, traveling, thinking about business ventures and spending time with friends and family.
